Today I leave for Africa. I get the wonderful privilege of calling the beautiful nation of Kenya home for one whole month! I am beyond excited. What a wonderful adventure I am on. It was exactly a year ago that I was traveling back to the country that stole my heart in 2009. I remember feeling completely broken as I left, not knowing the next time I would be back. Little did I know how quickly my life was going to change and how often I would get to come to this beautiful place!
I know this next month will not be without its challenges. Living in a different country and culture always has its obstacles (ya know, like languages…), but I am confident that it will be a remarkable experience. The fact that I get to spend such an extended time with the kids has me grinning from ear to ear!
I’m going to do my best to document and update my day-to-day experience (power and Internet permitting… I mean, it is Kenya ;) ) as 30 days of missions #30daysofmissions. I will be attempting to update my Facebook and Instagram at least once a day. Please feel free to comment and send me messages. But most of all, please keep me in your prayers!
Let’s get this journey started!
